Thanksgiving at our house

Ooopsie...... It's been awhile!
This past Thanksgiving we hosted at our house with a little of my mom's side and a little of my dad's side. It was really nice for my sister and I since we are always bouncing house to house with kids in tow during the holidays. We could just stay in one house and see everyone that was in town that day!
Our table decor.

My younger sister Alicia made this awesome sangria!  It was the most delicious drink I've ever tasted. Seriously.....the best!

As soon as Justin heard the words "hosting thanksgiving" he immediately wanted to deep fry our turkey. I must say I was kind of freaked out by it but not by a danger sense but by us completely ruining the dinner!  It's not a normal way of cooking for us and I would have felt terrible if the main part of our dinner was a bust!  All I could picture was a black bird getting pulled from that tin! Ha!

Justin did his homework though and all in all he did a great job!  My dad and uncle kept him in great company too. Since you really shouldn't leave the turkey due to safety reasons and little ones around!

Who are these crazy kids?!? They loved having their cousins here at their house to play with and see their toys!  They had so much fun together!

My sister's and I celebrating Thanksgiving together!

My family on Thanksgiving.

Cousins!  I cannot believe how big they are getting.

Addy and Ry love each other so much!

My adorable nephew Mason!

Kids playing games

It wouldn't be a get together without the kiddos attacking Papa! He takes it like a champ though!

We got all the kids in their Christmas pajama's for a picture!  We even got my Aunt's newest baby in with them!  1st and 2nd cousins!

Milky time!  Cheers!

When all the guests left and the dishes were done these two were beat!  It really was a great thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful for!
It was a gorgeous day too!  Like 60 degrees out and we had the windows open!  We loved having as many family members as we could all under the same roof!  My Papa L even came up with my Nana!  It was a rare moment and we were so happy he joined us and ate!

The next Holiday meal we tackled was Christmas........ <3 p="">

Mason Farms

This past weekend we went to Mason Farms with my Mom. It's always been a little tradition that we had even before I had Addyson. We just love walking around looking at the fall decor and going through the green house to check out all the Christmas stuff!

Addy and Camden

Behind the green house are animals that you can feed, like goats and llama's, but Camden wasn't too sure about them!

They loved checking out the displays there and eating their yummy cookies!

We had a nice trip there and it was the perfect weather for it!  Afterwards we went back to my mom's house where the kids played for a bit. Mom and I caught up and then we headed home!

Hope everyone is enjoying fall thus far!

Jamie Lynne

Our babies are growing

"Enjoy them now because before you know it they will be graduating high school and off to college." This is what I've been told many many times since having Addyson and boy they are right. I can't believe how big our babies have gotten over the past year!  When I got their school pictures back this year I was shocked!  They grew so much in size and their little faces are more mature.  It's sad a sweet at the same time. I love the stage and age they both are in right now and how well they are becoming their own little people. I mean I guess we are doing something right? Right!?! Hahaha!
Camden oh my!  You are the love of my life. You really can't do any wrong in my eyes and right now I am ok to admit that!  I think anyone with a son can attest to that!  There is something about you that just makes people smile and feel happy. You are a charmer that's for sure!

You had a hard start to your new classroom and going to school after a long summer off with your sister and I. However, Miss Kim is seriously the best and has helped you transition beautifully. You charm the pants off everyone at daycare and have managed to be friends with all your classmates!  You love playing football with another little boy names Brayden and you have been learning so many new things.

You've been toilet trained for about 4 months now and we are still going strong!  No more binkie either! You ride a big boy bike, eat tons of food, and love to dip everything in ranch! You are at an odd stage for size right now and a lot of 3t stuff is too big but you are getting there!  Size 8 shoes. We are blown away with how much you express wants, needs, and feelings to us. You will tell us when you're hungry, when your belly hurts or when you are tired!  You are growing into a sweet, fun loving, truck playing little boy and we are so blessed to have you in our family!

Oh Addy Grace. You have really become something special over this past summer. We've had some bumps along the way but nothing that didn't make us stronger and come out better on the other side!  You have overcome some major things this summer and we couldn't be more proud!  Your anxiety has been a struggle. You sometimes get upset over fire drills at school, talking about airplanes or other unknowns, and you have had a hard time trying new things/experiences or even talking about them. However, this summer you really overcame a lot of those things and we really saw how much growing you have done.  We want you to enjoy things as a child and to have fun. We used to be sad that you didn't trust us telling you that you would be safe trying something but we soon realized that you have to see and try things on your own. That is a really amazing trait Addy!  You can't be swayed by anyone and that will carry with you all through the hard times as you become a teenager!

You are in first grade now and you looooooove it!  You love math, you love having spelling tests every week and you love that you can read more fluently now!  You have grown so much academically as well and we love seeing your little mind at work. Daddy and I smile when we see you sitting at the table doing extra work out of your workbook from the summer.

You love playing school and acting like your teacher!  You love watching silly challenges on youtube and watching make up tutorials on how to do Disney make up!  You love working out with me and on your own!  You ride your big bike without training wheels, you take showers, and like to get yourself ready on your own! You have a lot of clothes that are size 7 but a lot of the pants are getting short already!  However most of them are Carters brand and they run a little small for you. You and your brother might need clothes from Old Navy because they seem to fit kids that are tall and skinny!
You have been loosing teeth like crazy!  You have 3 more loose ones too!

I love the relationship we have and I hope it continues to grow stronger. You amaze me with your knowledge and the conversations we have. You've been more respectful and you love to be a good leader and role model at home and at school.

You were my first born and first love. You have my heart. Always and forever!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy

A little of this and a little of that from our summer!

Sorry I have been terrible at blogging!  Here are some highlights of our summer!

Fourth of July parade!

My mom lives right down where the parade is so she joined us for the festivities!

Addy made a friend! They made out with lots of candy!

Camden was a little scared of the loud noises of the firetrucks. So Justin and him stayed further back. He still had a blast getting candy when it wasn't loud!

We had a 4th of July party this year with our friends!  It was so nice to have everyone together!  Kids decorating star cookie cutouts that I made!

Addy and Riley. They've gotten so big!

The kids right as we were getting our fire ready!

Playground fun!

Children's museum

At the children's museum!  We met up with Shannon and Caleb for a fun morning!

Camden made sure he got some milk from the grocery store they have there for kids to play at!

Addy got her face painted like hello kitty!

My sister came up for the weekend and one of the days we all went to Waldameer park!  Addy tried the big slides this year! wahoo! She had so much fun!

These two goof balls eating lunch before we head into the new wave pool!  They had so much fun in it!

Addy tried the frog hopper too!

She rode this kids roller coaster and the Comet!  Which is even bigger!  She really overcame a lot this summer and we are so proud of the big girl she has become!

Grandma Sharon came up this summer too and she got the kids new bikes!  I took them to our local middle school to ride on a side walk! They love their new bikes!

Neighborhood friends!

Camden riding the trucks at waldameer. We went a couple times this summer!

Boats

I took the kids to our zoo too! Camden and I riding the train.

Addy rode up front and was able to call over the intercom "all aboard!"

Addy completed another year at Vacation Bible School! She loves it there and even participated in the Sunday service to sing with her group all the songs they learned from camp!
She's in the front row, middle right, teal skirt, white shirt.

Playing in the pool

One thing Addy has been really getting into is watching kid make up tutorials and doing her own makeup. Just for play!

Playing outside was what we did most this summer. Camden loved it when I made a chalk road for his trucks.

Making potions in the tub!

Cousin Tara came up for a weekend and she took the kids to lunch, bowling and to Rita's for ice cream!  They had so much fun that day!

We went to the beach with Tara too. It was a perfect evening to do so and they made sandcastles and Tara tried to make Addy look like she had a mermaid tail!

We had a great summer and hope you all did too!
