This year I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for my birthday. Let's face it, working all day, being a mom at night and doing all our normal routine stuff kind of exhausts you of really wanting to go out and do anything. However, my mom approached Justin and wondered if we had plans. She offered to watch the kids so we could go out alone or with some friends. It was a nice surprise and we ended up having a great evening at a new restaurant called Chop Stix with some of our friends.
While we were at dinner my mom had a cake ready for the kids to decorate! She took this cute pic of them helping her. She said they were so excited to help with my cake.
After dinner we went back to my mom's house and had cake and ice cream! The kids had a blast there. They made tunnels and obsticle courses. Turned off the lights and played in tunnels using flash lights too! Overall they had a great time at my mom's house and she even had the kids all ready for bed since the drive would definitely put him to sleep!
The fabulous cake! It was a double layer chocolate cake with fudge in between the layers. Then they covered it with cool whip, crushed heath bars and drizzled with caramel! It was the best cake I have ever had!
The kids ended my birthday celebration with a little piano time. They were so cute playing it and they sounded really good!
Love,
Jamie Lynne
