Camden John 6 Months!

6 months!

Wow!  You are a half year old already!  Baby boy you need to slow down! We feel like we just had you and here we are! 6 months later! 

 

Since you have mastered rolling both ways, you are now working on sitting, and have been starting to sit in the tripod position. This doesn't last for long though as you still aren't quite strong enough but that's ok because you are working on it!

 

You are a little ham!  I love this age because right now you are so happy when someone smiles at you! 

You love quiet time in your swing especially around dinner time or right after.  This is always a great time for daddy and I to get things cleaned up before baths!

Speaking of baths.  Man do you love them!  You kick and flail like crazy when you are in the water.  It's part of your routine at night and you love it. 

You enjoy being read to before bed too.

You chew on everything!

No teeth but you drool like crazy!

You wear 6 months clothes now. 

You go to sleep for the night at 8pm and wake up around 730 or 8am

You take 2 good naps during the day and you have quiet time in your swing in the evening.

You eat  solids like a champ now and eat 2-3 meals a day.

Breakfast: oatmeal and fruit puree; I've tried banana yogurt and you like it as well

Lunch: a veggie

Dinner: Stage 2 meals and a fruit puree

Your morning and night bottle are 7 ounces and your daytime bottles are 6 ounces. 

Your spitting up flared up around 4 months and tapered off a month ago. However, you have been starting a little again when we burp you.  You always manage to spit up while playing though! Pressure on the tummy will do that!

When we put puffs on your high chair tray, you grab for them, and fist it in your mouth.  Missing about every time but you understand that your hands can get you food!

You do not like cold teething rings.  We are working on that.

You like the teething biscuit cookies made by gerber

You love sitting outside

You drink a little water out of your sippy cup during meals.

You are ticklish on your lower belly/side and right near your armpits!

You have the cutest laugh and the biggest smile.

You have woken up crying a handful of times.  You are always happy waking up in your crib!

Your big sister makes you laugh and loves you more than you understand right now.

You are obsessed with your feet right now!  I caught you sucking on your feet in your swing the other day!  You were so happy doing it too!

Camden, I cannot say it enough, but you really have brought so much joy into our lives.  You completed us and I thank God everyday for that.  He gave us a son, our daughter a brother, and our family a grandson/nephew! 

We know that in time you are going to be well on your way to moving around the house!  You are so special and sweet.  You have so much love inside of you and it shows when you smile.
