Camden 4 months!

Camden John you are 4 months old already!

As you can tell you are one happy baby!  You seriously put a smile on my face everyday!

You have been smiling for awhile now but you really love doing it all the time!  Whenever you are able to smile and look at us, you do!

 

You have been starting to giggle/laugh.  It's the sweetest sound to us. Your big sister thinks it's so awesome that you are making noises now!  She is starting to see you more as a little human rather than just a baby that lays around. 

 

You coo and talk all the time too!  Addy thinks you are speaking spanish! Hahaha!

You went to Waldameer Park for the first time!  You just chilled in the stroller most of the time but you liked looking around and hearing all the different sounds.

 

You started playing in your jumping gym!  You really get a kick out of the frog.  Your sister liked him the best too when she was your age!

 

We put a pillow underneath so you can reach the floor with your feet and put a thick blanket around you to help you stay upright.  This helps your core strengthen too so you can eventually sit up on your own.

You went to your first parade!  Erie celebrated 200 years from the war on Lake Erie and they had a huge parade that lasted almost 4 hours!  We did not stay that long but enough for your sister to have really enjoyed it! 

You have always been fascinated by your hands but you now like them for your thumbs!  It's nice when you don't have your binkie and you want to sooth yourself, you just suck on your thumb.  It's especially nice since you are in your room now and instead of waking me up in the night for your binkie you just suck your thumb. 

 

You also have started to grab at toys when they are in front of you.  We sit you in your highchair during dinner prep time  and you play with toys on the tray.  When you play under your playgym you pull items down into your mouth! 

Here you are practicing sitting up with the boppy pillow around you.  You have really great head/neck control.  Daycare always comments on how high you can lift your head off the ground during tummy time.  Now that you have the head control we need to work more on your core.  That's why we have started putting you in your jumping gym too.  About 5-10 minutes when we can. 

 

You get a little fussy when we first bring you home from school but we have recognized that you need  a little snack bottle to tie you over.  This is also when I give you a few bites of sweet potatoes.  (I'll save the pics for its own post on food)  You enjoyed your first time eating them too!  So we are underway on introducing foods but I'm not sticking to an every night kind of schedule.  You did just turn 4 months and I know that formula is the best thing for you right now. 

 

You sleep from 8PM-7/730AM

You take your morning nap around the 9 oclock hour and the 1 oclock hour.

If you are really sleepy you will take a nap around 330pm  too. 

 

You still enjoy your swing, bouncer, play gym and rocking play chair. 

You love when we change your diaper because you love your changing table!  You talk the most up there.  You know you have our undevided attention when we are up there with you and there are no other noises going on.  So we just get to enjoy you telling us all kinds of stories! 

 

Bathtime goes pretty well.  It all depends on if you are really tired or hungry.  Sometimes you take a tubby with your sister and we use your bath chair but most of the time I just fill the tub up about an inch high and give you one with you laying flat.  You really like to lay flat because you love to kick in the water! 

 

You are starting to wear your 6 month clothes!

You wear size 2 diapers

You eat 7-8 ounces 3 times a day and 4-6 ounces 2 times a day.  The smaller ones are in the evening due to them being so close together. 

We feed you gentle formula still and you continue to do very well on it!

 

We have a few nicknames for you too!

You are growing perfectly Camden and you contine to fill our lives with so much joy!  We are so blessed to have you in our family and you warm my heart in a way that I never knew existed.  Maybe it's because my heart feels complete now that I have you and your sister.
